North Jersey Area Band Wind Ensemble Reference Guide

    Greetings musicians!

I put together this web page so you have quick and easy access to all the music we will be performing toegher in January. My hope is that you will refer to it often for multiple reasons:

+ Overarcing knowledge of each piece
    + Understanding musical phrasing
+ How your part fits in with the rest of the ensemble
+ And of course, learning your part!

You will find the links to everything we are playing at the bottom of this page. Please know that it is imperative for you to come to rehearsal knowing your notes! In order for all of us to share the best possible musical experience together you want me to be able to drop a down beat and SHAPE the music, guide you along the way, and ultimately get out of YOUR way. The better prepared you are the more exciting the journey!

I am excited to be with you for a number of reasons. First of course is the opportunity to work with YOU! I also get to work with your directors, many of which are either my former students or life-long colleagues and friends. Last but not least is being able to return to the place I grew up! As an alum of Roxbury High School (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth...sort of but not really) it will be a treat to come home again.

If you have any questions at all please feel free to email me. I am out of the country during the holidays but I will get back to you upon my return after January 1st.
